Gold
Gold is the state mineral for several states. It is a chemical element (Au) and is a very dense metal. It is also very soft. Ductility: One ounce can be pulled into a thread 5 miles long! Malleability: One ounce can be hammered into a sheet that is 300 square feet! It is a noble metal, meaning it is non-reactive to oxygen, most acids, and other chemical elements.
