Founded to Serve
of Mineralogical Societies, Inc.
have been involved with my local Gem & Mineral Society since 1995.
In that time, I have held most elected offices and edited the
Club's Newsletter, The Rockhound,
for over 10 years. My daughter Jenninfer has also been involved in the
Club, holding several offices including being the Club's youngest President. About 6 years ago, after the sudden demise of our
Club's web master, Jen took over the job, and did a complete redesign
the site. When she was elected President, I took over as web master for
her. We started entering the site in Federation competitions the next
year and were happy to place in the top 3 our first year. We went on to
place first in the Southeast Federation competition for three years
running, and were honored in July 2014 with the First Place award in
the American Federation contest! I have since stepped back from my
local club duties, resigning as web master and newsletter editor. I
served as the Florida Representative for the SFMS,
along with two great assistants. In
January 2016, I became Editor of the SCRIBE newsletter. SCRIBE is an
organization for Bulletin editors.|
I am honored to have been selected to assume the role of web master for the SFMS. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns, comments, or suggestion...
