The American Federation of Mineralogical Societies is composed of the following seven similar regional organizations of gem, mineral, and lapidary societies.  The official boundaries of each regional federation are indicated by the colored areas in the picture, with the specific states listed below.  Clubs or societies may be members of regional federations outside of their respective boundary as determined by Article XII of the AFMS By-Laws.
