13-14:  CHELSEA, MI.  ANNUAL GEOLOGY ARTS FAIR.  Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center (located inside Waterloo State recreation Area), 10730 Bush Road.  Sat. 10:00-5:00, Sun. 10:00-4:00.  This fair is presented jointly by the Midwest Mineralogical and Lapidary Society of Michigan, the Kalamazoo Geological and Mineral Society, and the Huron Hills Lapidary and Mineral Society 12 vendors will be selling fossils, minerals, jewelry, and lapidary equipment.  Demonstrations will include sphere making and bead making, and there will be an exhibit of spheres, all of which are made from Michigan material.  Special Event: during the show, Park Rangers will regularly conduct geology hikes through the park’s bog areas.  When needed, these hikes will be geared for handicap access.  For kids, Park Rangers will show kids how to make trilobite casts and conduct a workshop on polishing Petoskey Stones - which the kids get to keep!.  There will also be programs, a swap and sell, and food.  Admission: FREE.  CONTACT: Eddy Discovery Center (734) 475-3170.
