polishers and stage four hours of demonstrations of lapidary techniques.
This includes cutting to make lapidary pieces and polishing. The
members also have finished work on display. Kids

selling jewelry and findings, minerals and gemstones, beads and cabochons,
dinosaur fossils, carvings and art works, and a lot more! Mexican
Choyas Geodes for purchase and cracking. Demonstrations
of faceting and cabochon making both days. There will be a
program by Dr.
William Cordua of UW River Falls presenting “Geology of Northern Wisconsin”;
he will also identify specimens for visitors. The
children's area will
have activities provided by a local wildlife center. SPECIAL
EVENT - Faceting and Wire Wrapping
classes will be
held the Monday through Thursday, July 14 to 17,
taught by Tyler Miller of Fac-Ette. Please call Kathy at (715)

children) every hour, a silent auction running for the entire show, a raffle

- the Agate Stampede:
At 2:00 on Saturday, hundreds of quarters and hundreds of agates are mixed
in with gravel, then spread on the street. Kids can keep anything they
find! There will also be displays (including fluorescent), free
mineral ID, door prizes every half hour,

members) will be offering minerals,
fossils, gems, jewelry, cabs, slabs, and rough rock. Exhibits
will include 44 cases
of member displays. Demonstrations
will include stone cutting, faceting, wire wrapping, and silver
smithing. There will also be a fluorescent display, hourly door
