1-3:  ISHPEMING, MI.  Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club 33RD ANNUAL UPPER PENINSULA GEM AND MINERAL SHOW. 22-24:  SOUTH BEND, IN.  Michiana Gem and Mineral Society 45th ANNUAL JEWELRY, GEM, AND MINERAL SHOW AND SALE.  St. Joseph County Fairgrounds, Ester Singer Building, 5117 S. 23-24:  PEORIA, IL.  Peoria Academy Of Science, Geology Section ANNUAL GEM, MINERAL, AND FOSSIL, SHOW.  ITOO Society Building, 4909 W. Farmington Road.  Sat, 9:00-5:00, Sun 10:00-5:00.  20 vendors will be offering minerals, fossils (including Mazon Creek fossils), mineral jewelry, beads, Brazilian minerals and jewelry, and rough rock.  SPECIAL DISPLAY: trilobites and invertebrate fossils from a large private collection.  There will be demonstrations of sphere making, fossil preparation, cabochon making, and the making of glass beads.  The Illinois Geological Survey will provide free mineral identification, geological maps, and educational displays.  A large Kids Area will have numerous games, coloring activities, grab bags, a working flume where kids can search for “treasure,” and much more!  There will be hourly door prizes, a silent auction, and great food.  Admission: FREE, with lots of FREE parking.  CONTACT: Jim Travis,
