Rockhounding Interests:

Primary interests in hobby are lapidary (all types) and jewelry making.  I don't make much jewelry anymore.  It got to be work instead of pleasure.  About the only lapidary work I do now is faceting.  Have been in the hobby (although not formally) since the early 1950's.  Didn't join a club until 1980.

Personal Information:

I retired from the US Navy in 1973 and retired from Teaching School in 1993.  I took many extension courses while in the Navy and finished up my BA degree at North East OK State University with a double major of Speech and Hearing Disorders and Industrial Arts with a minor in Education.  Went to Gaulladet College for a masters in Deaf Education and received a MED degree from University of Southern Mississippi.  I taught in Washington D.C. at The Model Secondary School for the Deaf and at the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, KY.  I retired from KY.

I have lived in Utah (home state), California, Rhode Island, Florida, South Carolina, Bermuda, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, and the South Pole.  I presently reside in OK with my wife of 48 years Alice.
